We’re all tired today
“Monday – Monday can’t trust that day..”
Well, after a weekend of food, fun and frolic, Monday is never usually greeted with open arms. The staff at the Auberge is tired and I am exhausted, oui, I would even go so far as to say un peut fatiguée.
Un peut fatiguée. Now there’s a statement that can mean any number of things as is so common in the French language. Simple translation, “he is a bit tired” but it could also mean “I am exhausted emotionally” or just as easily mean “I am fed-up, tired of it all.” A favorite spin on that is fatiguant which means someone is tiring to the point of being a real bore.
It was a good petit debut at the Auberge.
